In addition to providing specialized rehabilitative programs that achieve each patient's treatment goals, we are focused on effective patient communication. The following questions will familiarize you with how we operate, and provide you with needed basic information.
You can expect to be at the center from 60 to 90 minutes on your first visit. You will undergo a comprehensive evaluation so that an appropriate treatment plan can be established. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment to discuss insurance and billing procedures with our front office personnel.
Depending on the type of treatment you have been referred for, your regular appointments will last from 60 to 90 minutes.
Following evaluation, a treatment program is initiated with individual treatment sessions usually scheduled two to four times a week. Our goal is to enable you to reach the highest level of function as quickly as possible.
Appointments are made with the front office staff. You should check in and out with them at each visit.
Physical therapy services are directed by licensed physical therapists. Your specialized treatment program will involve a team approach, consisting of skilled physical therapist and physical therapy assistants.
It is our policy to schedule you with the same team of therapists for each of your visits to our center. Occasionally, substitutions must be made because of staff vacation, illness or participation in continued education.
Fees will vary depending on your diagnosis and the extent of your treatment. There will be an initial physical therapy evaluation fee, as well as fees for each of your treatments. For your convenience, we generally bill commercial insurance carriers for you, and ask that you pay your co-pay portion at the center on the day of treatment.
Our front office staff will have information about your insurance coverage when you arrive at the center. Although insurance policies vary, typically 80 percent of our services are covered by commercial insurance after your deductible is met. If you have any questions about your specific insurance coverage, our Patient Account Representatives at the Corporate Office will be ready to answer them for you. They can be reached at 1-.
In order to accommodate each patient's schedule, reserving time slots for treatments is very important to operate our facilities efficiently. Canceling an appointment at the last minute, or failing to come in for a session, limits our ability to meet the scheduling needs of our other patients. Therefore, we request that all cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance of an appointment. A cancellation fee may be charged for cancellations with less than 24-hour notice.
A copy of your initial evaluation will be sent to your referring physician, along with regular progress notes to keep your physician updated on your progress and current functional status. Communication with all parties is an important component of your treatment program.
Upon discharge, you will be adequately prepared to leave physical therapy, and your home exercise program will be updated accordingly. You may contact your physical therapist anytime with questions or concerns.
Complete your paperwork in advance! Bring completed forms to your first appointment or fax in advance to the location where you will be treated.
