This clinic first opened its doors in March 2000 as a small orthopedic physical therapy office with a specialization in dance rehabilitation. Due to our clinical expertise and the high level of customer service, we expanded and now treat all orthopedic, sports and musculoskeletal injuries as well as providing industrial physical therapy, gait analysis and re-education in addition to rehabilitation for post surgical procedures. With state of the art equipment, caring, friendly and highly qualified staff, Sports Physical Therapy of New York – Times Square is among the most well respected physical therapy clinics in midtown Manhattan, according to medical practitioners and patients alike. We are located within the Equinox Fitness Club in the heart of New York City, footsteps from several major hubs of transportation. Name: Ithamar Jotkowitz, PT, DPT

In 2002, Ithamar earned his Bachelor's Degree from LaTrobe University in Melbourne, Australia, with a strong emphasis on the Maitland and McKenzie philosophies of assessment and treatment. Soon after graduation, he was appointed the senior physical therapist of a LifeCare facility, Australia's largest provider of physical therapy and allied health services. In this role, Ithamar treated elite athletes, lectured healthcare professionals and was exposed to some of the country's top specialists in the field, increasing his experience and honing his proficiency as a skilled manual physical therapist. Since arriving in America, he has worked in a highly regarded physical therapy clinic and has attended a number of continuing education courses. Treating all orthopedic, sports and musculoskeletal complaints, Ithamar has a special interest in chronic pain, back and neck dysfunction, as well as knee injuries which he researched extensively for his doctoral thesis at Touro College. He has been the physical therapist for college level and semi-professional sports teams and is currently a volunteer member of New York City's Medical Reserve Corps. In his free time, Ithamar likes to run, play indoor soccer and Aussie Rules Football as well as travel with his wife, Tova.

Anna is a Senior Physical Therapist, earning her Bachelor's degree from Daemen College in Buffalo, New York. She has been with Sports Physical Therapy of New York since graduating in 2002. Her clinical interests include treating a variety of orthopedic cases, specifically ACL injuries, with a special interest in pre and post natal rehabilitation. Anna has developed extensive manual skills through practice and continuing education courses including strain/counterstrain, muscle energy techniques, McKenzie and Maitland approaches for musculoskeletal disorders. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, swimming and working out.

Scott graduated from Columbia University where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He has specialized his area of study in orthopedics with a preferential focus of conducting thorough Maitland based assessments. His strong emphasis on manual therapy was bolstered by a clinical rotation at a highly regarded PT clinic that runs prestigious continuing education courses for physical therapists striving to hone their manual skills. Furthermore Scott has gained invaluable experience in the acute care department of the Mt. Sinai Medical Center and in the inpatient rehabilitation department of the Bellevue Hospital Center. In his free time he enjoys playing tennis, working out, and running.
